Diaspora Innovation Days in Africa (DIDA)
ADYFE and its partners joint forces through the Accelerated Africa Conference (AAC+) in order to further connect and increase the dialogue and exchange between the diaspora, development partners and international institutions and organizationAfrican stakeholders – especially the private sector and young entrepreneurs – to increase both skills/knowhow and technological exchange between the diaspora and the continent. After the Africa Europe High Level Forum held in 2018 between the EU and the AU and the inclusion of the AAC+ as a side event, ADYFE has been recognize as the major player to boost entrepreneurship and harness the power of young people from the diaspora in order to benefit and contribute to the development of the African continent
In this regard, the Diaspora Innovation Days in Africa (DIDA) is meant to enhance technology and know-how transfer from the diaspora towards the continent. It is dedicated to create a space in order to provid entrepreneurs with valuable technological content and diaspora-based innovations that is highly sought after by MSMEs all across the continent. DIDA aims atincreasing and allowing the diaspora to further engage in partnership-building and joint-venture promotion by providing a platform for all relevant stakeholders such as aspiring and established entrepreneurs fromall sectors to connect and engage while sharing their knowledge and accessing new ones.
Workshops on how to take your business to the next level whether you require adopting new technologies, digitalize your business, increase your consumer outreach, increase your packaging and production standards, increase your market access capacity and take part / enter new networks and learn how to build and increase your network will be at the core of the topics of this edition. DIDA will allow you to get exposure to what you need through dialogues fairs, expert intervention/ masterclasses and capacity building workshop..
Recognizing the importance of innovation and digitalization for economic growth, DIDA aims at initiating and strengthening innovative cooperation schemes and partnerships between the Diaspora and the continent by participating in the technological transformation and digitalization though the creation of strategic partnerships and businesses that will contribute to the development of cross continental business communities who will in turn bolster job creation while boosting local development and economic opportunities, as well as generating innovative products and services that respond to the realities of the African market.
